1.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, precise geolocation, biometric data, or any sensitive health/financial data about you personally.
2. How we use your data
- To provide and improve the TryQuerra service
- To personalise your experience (e.g. saving search preferences)
- To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions
- To send transactional emails (e.g. notification when a question is answered)
- To analyse aggregate usage patterns and improve content quality
We do not use your data for advertising profiling or share it with advertisers.
3. Cookies and tracking
TryQuerra uses strictly necessary cookies to operate the service (session management, CSRF protection). We use analytics cookies only with your consent.
- Session cookie — required, expires on browser close
- Analytics cookie — optional, 90-day expiry, anonymised
- Preference cookie — optional, stores theme/language preference
You can manage cookies via your browser settings or our cookie banner. Refusing analytics cookies does not affect core functionality.
4. Third-party services
We use a limited number of trusted third-party services:
- Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, DNS. Processes request metadata under their privacy policy.
- Self-hosted analytics — We use privacy-preserving, self-hosted analytics with no third-party cookies.
- AI providers — Anonymised query text may be sent to AI APIs to generate answer summaries. No personal identifiers are included.
We do not embed third-party social media tracking pixels.
5. Data retention
- Account data — retained until account deletion, then within 30 days
- Anonymous search logs — 90 days, then aggregated
- IP addresses — anonymised after 24 hours
- Submitted questions and insights — retained for service continuity; you may request removal
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect prior lawful processing)

7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, rate limiting, and regular security audits. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong unique password and report any security concerns to security@TryQuerra.com.
8. Children’s privacy
TryQuerra is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days in advance. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the latest revision.
